### Preparation for Camera-ready Papers and Submission Process

If your paper has been accepted for any of the symposiums of the IEEE SSCI 2015, then please follow the instructions below to prepare your final manuscript:

http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

To help ensure correct formatting, please use the style files for U.S. Letter Size found at the link above as templates for your submission. These include Word and LaTeX. The papers that do not follow the instructions will not be included in the proceedings.

2. Please note the following with regards to manuscript style and formatting:
• Only papers prepared in PDF format, and approved by IEEE PDF eXpress, will be accepted.
• Paper Length: Up to 8 pages, including figures, tables and references. At maximum, two additional pages are permitted with overlength page charge of US$125/page, to be paid during author registration. • Paper Formatting: double column, single spaced, #10 point Times Roman font. • Margins: Left, Right, and Bottom: 0.75" (19mm). The top margin must be 0.75" (19 mm), except for the title page where it must be 1" (25 mm). • No page numbers please. We will insert the page numbers for you. • Please do not add any keywords • All fonts have to be embedded. • Do not use any bookmarks in the pdf file. • Do not use any pdf links. 3. Before you prepare your pdf document, it is now required that all papers submitted to IEEE publications have to have a copyright clearance code notice on the bottom of the first page of each paper. The correct notice to use depends on the country of residence of the authors, and is as follows: • For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright • For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-4799-7560-0/15/$31.00 ©2015 Crown
• For all other papers the copyright notice is: 978-1-4799-7560-0/15/$31 ©2015 IEEE • For LaTeX users, note that the \IEEEpubid is deactivated by default in the IEEETran.tex file when it is of type conference. This can be overwritten to allow you to add the copyright clearance code by adding the following commands just after the \begin{document} line: • \IEEEoverridecommandlockouts \IEEEpubid{\makebox[\columnwidth]{978-1-4799-7560-0/15/\$31 \copyright 2015 IEEE \hfill} \hspace{\columnsep}\makebox[\columnwidth]{ }}

The example above is for the third category of papers above (i.e. non-US and non-Crown employed authors.

• If you experience problems with the above LaTex instructions when using bibtex, and if you are using \usepackage{fixltx2e}, then please remove the \usepackage{fixltx2e}.
4. Validate your paper via IEEE PDF eXpress, and fix any problems that are identified. Please follow the following steps to validate your pdf document:
• First time user should do the following:
• The conference ID to use is 35177X
• Continue to enter information as prompted
• Select "My..." from the top menu
• Select "My papers"
• For each of your papers, click on the "Upload manuscript" icon
• On the new page that appears, you first have to provide the name of the presenter. Click on "name of presenter"
• Provide the name of the presenter and click "Add another presenter"
• This will open the information page for your paper. Click on the upload icon of the "Final manuscript" field, and upload your final manuscript

It is required that one IEEE Copyright form be submitted for each paper. Unfortunately, the link between the EDAS system and IEEE eCF does not work, and you will not be directed to the online form. Please download the copyright form from http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/rights/ieeecopyrightform.pdf and complete the form. The IEEE publication title is "2015 IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence (SSCI)". Scan and save the form using the following naming convention: XXXXXXXXXXYyyyyyyCF.pdf, where XXXXXXXXXX is the long ID number of your paper, and Yyyyyyy is the surname of the first author. Please email this form to the publications chair, Prof Xiaodong Li, xiaodong.li@rmit.edu.au, and cc the general chair, Prof Andries Engelbrecht, engel@cs.up.ac.za. Note that papers without a copyright form can not be included in the proceedings.

Note that the final paper and copyright form have to be submitted no later than October 14, 2015.

6. Register for the conference before the deadline of October 14, 2015 to ensure that your paper are included in the proceedings. Remember that one full registration covers three papers, and that each paper must have at least one full registration.

Note: The deadline to submit your camera-ready paper is October 14, 2015. Papers submitted later than this deadline will not be included in the proceedings..
